Mark William O'Brien, 72, passed away on May 10, 2025, in Waterloo, Iowa.

Born on November 5, 1952, Mark proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he dedicated many years of hard work at the John Deere foundry. Known for his outgoing nature and selfless spirit, Mark touched the lives of many and had a deep love for animals.

He is lovingly remembered by his two sons: Jon (Gretchen) O'Brien of Sioux City, Iowa, and Jeff O'Brien of Evansdale, Iowa; as well as three cherished grandchildren: Adrianah, Hailey, and Liam. He is also survived by his sisters Liz Beckman, Linda O'Brien, and Barb Schaefer.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, John and Charmaine O'Brien, and his brothers Michael and Dennis O'Brien.
